BeautyLawn Spray offers a Fescue Seeding program for our customers with too much shade to grow Bermuda or Zoysia. We use a quality blend of dwarf fescue seed and have an excellent success rate of germination when the directions we leave you are followed.

Fescue grass is seeded in the fall from mid-September through October.

Please note that Fescue grass is different than Bermuda or Zoysia in the fact that it does not spread and it goes dormant in the summer, instead of the winter. Therefore, to get a thick lush Fescue lawn the over-seeding of fescue is recommended each year.

The following factors are important in creating a healthy environment for your fescue to grow:

1. Aeration of area to be seeded.*
2. Watering of seed during seed germination and mature grass during the summer months. ( Fescue is a cool season grass.)
3. Keeping leaves and other debris off area.
4. Limiting the activity in this area.
5. Use of fingicides*
